- Remove accidentally committed CMakeFiles/ build artifacts (2965 files) - Remove build_warn/ tree - Remove all FILES manifests, Makefile/Makefile.* (prospero autoconf era) - Remove *.dist, *.backup, *.tmp, *.out build noise - Remove patches/ directory (1994 Solaris patches, all done/ignored) - Remove Solaris/AIX platform Makefile configs from prospero/ - Remove old install scripts (prospero/misc/install.sh, release/install/) - Remove Solaris-era docs (INSTALLATION, COMPATABILITY, shadowcvt.doc, etc.) - Remove SunOS-5.6 platform stubs in archie/webindex/ - Add .gitignore covering build trees, CMakeFiles, Python cache Co-Authored-By: Claude Sonnet 4.6 <noreply@anthropic.com>
This directory is for Prospero documentation that is not yet formally written up in the manuals but which should be distributed anyway rather than held back for the great day when we have all the manuals in final shape :)
